WRITING ON THE SHELF

In addition to The Stelladaur Series, here is a snippet of some of the other books I'm currently writing. If I wrote a book every year until I was a hundred years old, I'd still have stories in my head, waiting to be written. Most already have titles; some have plot and character outlines, like the ones highlighted here. Every story waits anxiously on my Writing Shelf until it's their turn to be heard. Oh, the agony!

Storyteller on the Mississippi

Storyteller on the Mississippi

Emma has a bad case of senioritis and her final year of high school hasn't even started yet. She simply can't stand the thought of being stuck at home for another boring summer. She's thrilled when her eccentric Aunt Doris calls to offer her a summer job. Doris is a professional storyteller on a steamboat that tours along the Mississippi River. At 75 years old, Doris still captivates audiences with stories of adventure and mystery. But Doris can't seem to keep all her costumes in order, especially her hats, so she hires Emma to be her personal accessory assistant. The only problem is that Emma discovers something very strange about the hats. Even creepy. When Emma realizes her Aunt's life is in danger—and her own, as well—she tries to convince Doris to throw the hats overboard. No matter what they do, the hats keep showing up on the heads of the characters from Doris's stories. It doesn't help that one of the characters, a duke from the past who Emma has fallen in love with, is trying to kill her.
